Brittany Howard Blasts HB 2, Explains Why Alabama Shakes Will Play N.C.

Howard made her comments Thursday to podcaster John Norris on his "Official Sasquatch! Festival Podcast,"

"We are going to play the show. We couldn't just say 'No, we're not showing up and I'm sorry your government is behaving this way.' That’s not the right thing to do," said Howard.
She also offered her views on why N.C.'s anti-LGBT law is, transparently, just that:
Speaking about the LGBT community, Howard said: "[It's] wrong to take their tax money, turn around and then disbar them from living with their identity that they fought so hard to understand and develop."
