Zac Brown Band, The Wood Brothers, Casey Driessen

When: Wed., Aug. 11, 7 p.m. 2010
Price: $26.50-$40.50

The Zac Brown Band creates songs that preserve moments like photos in an old shoebox—kicking back at the beach, seeing the person you love, taking a long drive home, drinking a cold beer. Zac Brown sings about it all with vocals warmed by his beard and pulled by an eye on Southern rock and blue-eyed soul. Violin and pedal steel help the songs settle on country. It's earnest and intoxicating, with slow songs drawling off into the sunset. At the end of the summer, the Zac Brown Band will release its first new studio album in two years. Meanwhile, "Free," from the band's last album, still climbs the charts. —Andrew Ritchey
