your turn An Evening with Charlie Rose and Four Journalists, Wednesday, Feb. 23: Public television talk show host, 60 Minutes II reporter and native North Carolinian Charlie Rose will moderate a panel discussion about North Carolina's future and public policy. Joining Rose will be Rolfe Neill, former publisher of The Charlotte Observer; Allen Johnson, editorial page editor of The News & Record in Greensboro; John Bason, co-host of Legislative Week in Review; and Carol Lin, co-anchor of CNN's NewsStand and Early Edition. The N.C. Center for Public Policy Research has asked the distinguished panelists to discuss the character of North Carolina, key issues facing our state in the first decade of the 21st century, the future for state politics and leadership, and how North Carolina media cover state-level policy issues and government. The public is invited to the event which will take place just south of Greensboro at the Grandover Conference Center on Interstate 85 and will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception and dinner. The package is pricey, $75 per ticket, but it also serves to support the Center and pay for your meal. Call 832-2839 to reserve tickets.
