A THEATER NEAR YOU—Forget the already released and forgotten Fred Claus: Today is the kickoff of the holiday movie season. From the Coen Brothers, there's No Country For Old Men, a film taken from the Cormac McCarthy novel, which takes its title from a poem by William Butler Yeats. Then there's Sidney Lumet's Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, a fine return to scuzzy, urban form for the man who brought us Serpico and Dog Day Afternoon. The art-poseurs among us might consider I'm Not There, Todd Haynes' highbrow deconstruction of the Bob Dylan persona. Enjoy these films now, for there will be yawning stretches of February and March with few good films. Read our reviews for No Country for Old Men and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and I'm Not There, Enchanted and The Mist. —David Fellerath
