HAYTI HERITAGE CENTER—Kicking off their seven-day Kwanzaa celebration—the only public full-length Kwanzaa celebration in the Triangle—Hayti Heritage Center presents Raleigh's Magic of African Rhythm dance troupe, who will perform their piece "Djembe Fire." The Kwanzaa performances embody the Kwanzaa spirit of embracing African culture. Doors open at 6:30 pm, with a candle lighting, followed by the performance at 7:30 pm. For more info, visit or call 683-1709. —Megan Stein
