INTERNATIONALIST BOOKS—In between Christian fundamentalists and agnostics sits Daniel Helminiak, a Catholic priest armed with insight. Author of the best-selling What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality, Helminiak most recently wrote The Transcended Christian, a collection of 18 essays on Christianity. Told through the lens of people who believe they have outgrown their religion, the book strips Christianity of its flashy distractions and separates it from Biblical Fundamentalism, which Helminiak considers a separate religion entirely. Helminiak speaks at 7 p.m. for those who feel divided or confused by religion. For more info, visit or call 942-1740. —Megan Stein
