Durham
Beloved Binge; Cantwell, Gomez & Jordan

The Pinhook—Cross-county road trips have kept Beloved Binge and Cantwell, Gomez & Jordan—two Durham favorites even in absentia—from local stages for months. Though CG&J was vacationing, Beloved Binge was traveling via camper, screening Eleni Binge's film on meat manufacturing and American perceptions of food while sounding their twisted, bubbling, playful pop sprees. Their mutual return is welcome, especially as few bands here or anywhere make music as emphatic and brazen as CG&J. They rip the face from No Wave discordance and beat it with cannon-fire drums, string it with razor wire guitars and scorch it with saxophone flames. Donate $5 at 9 p.m., and be home by midnight.
