Extraterrestrial Circus Experiment
Local 506—Captain Planet had earth, wind, fire, water and heart, but Extraterrestrial Circus Experiment has the atomic world on their side. "We try and incorporate the elements of gravity, electromagnetism, strong nuclear and weak nuclear into our performances," says troupe founder and Ohio State physics student Adam Dipert. Using flower sticks, poi, flow wands, juggling and more, six performers create Quantanime, an anime/ kung fu-flavored tale. Local 506 has an age minimum of 18; purchase of a $3 membership is necessary to attend the show, with a $3 charge for those under 21. Tickets are $12; showtime is 9 p.m.—Jessica Fuller
