This Is Bull City

Golden Belt Arts—Durham may not have the historical status of the famed Greek city-state, but it does have a colorful past of its own. In This Is Bull City, artist Casey Robertson has reimagined Durham's history through the lens of his own travels across the U.S. Robertson's intent is for his viewers to delve into Durham's past and come away with a renewed appreciation for the city and its storied history. Robertson's irreverent narratives take on such Durham stalwarts as tobacco, athletics and music in a way that both playfully tweaks and celebrates the subject matter.
