Marvell Event Center—This Durham hip-hop blowout reaches beyond genre confines, offering the heralded spoken-word works of Dasan Ahanu and the cheap beats and kaleidoscope tones of Winston-Salem's Akrobatics Macrocosm. Durham emcees Menes, J. Bully and Carolina Crusha grab the bulk of the bill, though, and they'll flip lust and life lyrics with each new beat.
