Volume 11 Tavern—The Georgia-based, van-bound married metal duo Jucifer rarely comes off the road. A little more than a month after a night in Raleigh, the raging-and-roaring, ultra-dynamic pair returns to Chapel Hill. Amber Valentine's rugged guitar playing is the perfect counterpart to her ascendant, acerbic voice, and Ed Livengood pounds out a metallic math on his kit. Tonight, Body Soil and Uzzard—two Winston-Salem acts operating at the liminal blur between Southern sludge and sweaty hardcore—open. The 9 p.m. show costs $8. —Grayson Currin
