Ways to make a difference

VOTE!
In Durham County, citizens may register to vote, make changes in registration or obtain a mail-in registration form at the following locations:

  • Board of Elections: 706 W Corporation St.
  • Durham County Public Library
  • Driver's license offices
  • Public assistance agencies
  • Public high schools
  • Armed Forces recruitment offices
  • Customer service/information desk at Northgate Mall.

Or go to the Board of Elections website at www.co.durham.nc.us/common/db-dept.cfm?ID=

All voter registration forms must be at the election office 25 days prior to the election. Upcoming elections include the presidential primary on May 4 and the presidential elections on Nov. 2.

    ORGANIZE!
The Independent Weekly is looking for opportunities around the Triangle--at businesses and special events--to set up a voter registration table. If you have a location and would like to have our volunteers register voters, send us an email at editors@indyweek.com and write "Registration Request" in the header. Or, if you'd like to volunteer to help staff one of the tables, write "Registration Volunteer" in the header.
