Ways to make a difference
The Independent Weekly is looking for volunteers to register voters at its upcoming Band of the Month shows and other concerts. To volunteer, send an email to editors@indyweek.com and write "Registration Volunteer" in the header. If you're holding an event and would like us to set up a voter registration table, write "Voter Registration Request" in the header.
The Indy is co-sponsoring showings of "Uncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War" at The Cave, 452 1/2 W. Franklin St., Chapel Hill, every Monday in February at 7 p.m. A voter registration table will be available.

In Wake County, citizens may register to vote, make changes in registration or obtain a mail-in registration form at the following locations in Wake County:
Board of Elections, 339 S. Salisbury St.
Public Libraries
Drivers License Offices
Public Assistance Agencies
Agencies Serving Persons with Disabilities
Public High Schools
Town Halls
Or go to the Board of Elections website at http://msweb03.co.wake.nc.us/bordelec/default.htm
All voter registration forms must be at the election office 25 days prior to the election. Upcoming elections include the presidential primary on May 4 and the presidential elections on Nov. 2.
