CAT'S CRADLE--For over a decade, Carrboro's Flicker Festival has been the reliable repository of the lo-fi and the hi-concept in short filmmaking. Curator Nicole Triche has organized an impressive lineup of work by experimental filmmakers around the country. Greensboro's Erik Patrick's recent work has impressed in a recent Flicker, and tonight he's back with another veteran of international film festivals called Stark Film, which "was composed using collages of found objects and art materials, sandwiched between clear acetate. After essentially building one collage for each frame, he then re-photographed the 'frames' to 'film.'" We don't know what that's going to look like, but we want to find out. Showtime is at 8:30 p.m., with tickets running $3, door prizes included. --David Fellerath
