LUCERO
THE BREWERY—One of the most energetic live acts in the business, Lucero will burn the cozy Brewery to the ground with their blazing country-punk. Frontman Ben Nichols' gruff whiskey 'n' cigarettes vocals are ideally suited to Lucero's gritty, road-worn roar, while the addition of keyboardist Rick Steff (now part of Cat Power's band) on Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers has brought out an entirely new flavor of soulful R&B. Maybe like Bruce Springsteen, just rougher. $12/ 9:30 p.m. —Chris Parker

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX
MULTIPLEX NEAR YOUAlthough the official opening is tomorrow, those young enough or caffeinated enough can catch the midnight screening tonight at certain multiplexes. For those not in the know, Harry Potter is back to battle evil with best friends Ron and Hermione. Following Lord Voldemort's return in the previous installment, this time Harry is not only up against the Death Eaters, but also the feeble leadership of the Ministry of Magic and the inadequate teachings of the deceptive Professor Umbridge. As usual, Harry and the gang take matters into their own hands as Dumbledore's Army, ready to do whatever it takes to protect the wizarding community from Voldemort's reign. —Sarah Lupton
