N.C. MUSEUM OF HISTORY—Got state pride? Love art? The N.C. Museum of History has an exhibit opening today indulging your taste in the two. Pleasing to the Eye: The Decorative Arts of North Carolina is a wide collection of crafts and artwork unique to the Tar Heel state. Spanning more than four centuries, the collection of paintings, furniture, pottery, quilts, silver, metalwork and more promises to display the craftsmanship of North Carolina's diverse cultural influences.
