The Decemberists
  • The Decemberists

MEYMANDI HALL—Oh, pity! The Decemberists show in Raleigh is sold out! What to do?! Perhaps I'll stay at home and watch THE complete set of Wes Anderson Criterion Collection films, or go down to the coffee shop and read some (original language) Spanish literature from the 18th century. Instead, maybe it's the right time to revisit If You're Feeling Sinister and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Scalp if you want to (write a song cycle for the scalpers, Mr. Meloy!): Show starts at 8 p.m. with My Brightest Diamond. —Grayson Currin

CAMERON VILLAGE BRANCH LIBRARY—Did you know that it's National Poetry Month? Come out this evening at 6:30 p.m. and celebrate poetry with Alice Osborn. She'll read from her latest book, Right Lane Ends. Joining her are local poets Tom Lisk, Bob Rogers and Christopher Salerno, who'll read their works as well. The library is located at 1930 Clark Ave. For more information, visit www.wakegov.com or call 856-6701. —Iesha Brown
