Tom Angleberger

When: Mon., March 3, 7 p.m. 2014
Tom Angleberger, who has perhaps the best children's book author name ever, has earned a loyal following for his Origami Yoda series, which combines two things no kid can resist: Star Wars references and paper stuff. The series features students who cope with middle-grade horrors with help from an oddball friend who proffers advice from a strangely wise Yoda paper-puppet. The latest installment, Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue! has the kids forming an "alliance" with the principal against Dark Standardized Testing Forces. The new book premieres in these two Triangle signings, where kids might learn a few origami tricks as well. Angleberger also appears at the Chatham County Library in Pittsboro on March 4 at 4 p.m. —Zack Smith
