Tiny Victories

When: Wed., March 7, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: $6

Cason Kelly was a social worker dealing with inner-city youths, while Greg Walters was a foreign correspondent in eastern Europe during various unsavory conflicts. The music industry isn't exactly a cakewalk, but compared to what they were doing, it's easy to understand why this band offered a bit of a respite. Given the music they've come up with on their debut EP, Those Of Us Still Alive, they probably made the right choice. Think ebullient pop music in the vein of Passion Pit or Hot Chip, with the slightest hint of Joy Division's melancholy in the vocals. Or just dance. With Stereo Telescope and Casey Desmond. —David Raposa
