The art of enameling

Gallery of Art and Design--The Art of Enameling exhibit runs at N.C. State's Gallery of Art and Design through March 2. Curated by East Carolina University artist and professor Linda Darty, the event focuses on modern and experimental techniques for enamel art, including sifting, painting and cloisonné. More Than a Wrap--The Beauty and Culture of Saris runs concurrently in the same space through May 14. Today, the gallery is open from noon until 8 p.m. in the Talley Student Center.

Witherspoon Cinema--Fall in love with Pam Grier the way Tarantino must have as a teenaged movie geek. A month-long celebration of 1970s cinema continues tonight with Coffy at N.C. State. The free showing is at 7 p.m. --David Fellerath
