REACH FOR THE SKYE BENEFIT
CAT'S CRADLE—In March, Skye Barkschat lost control of her bicycle in Asheville. Doctors didn't expect her to survive, but she did. Now, she's talking, eating and attending regular therapy sessions. Heather McEntire, a childhood friend who now fronts Chapel Hill's Bellafea and Un Deux Trois, organized two concerts for Reach for the Skye, the non-profit formed to help cover Skye's medical bills. The Mountain Goats, The Moaners and Hope & Anchor join Bellafea for the Chapel Hill edition. Tickets for one of the year's best bills and causes are $10, and the show starts at 9 p.m. —Grayson Currin
