Tuscan wines and high altitude labels

Panzanella in Carrboro will be hosting a Tuscan wine dinner on Monday, Feb. 20 from 7-9:30 p.m. The dinner will include a variety of wines from the region, plus plenty of food from the Panzanella kitchen. Tickets are $35 per person and are available in advance from Panzanella or from the Weaver Street Market customer service desk.

On Tuesday, Feb. 21, husband-and-wife team Sam and Sunny McDaniel will host an evening of wines and cheese from great heights at april & george art bar and wine gallery in Raleigh. Sam, a certified wine specialist, will navigate you through the world of high-altitude wine labels, vintages and varietals, while Sunny, april & george's head chef, will dish up info on cheese profiles, pairings and serving suggestions. Tickets of $25 include wine, cheese and informational materials; advance reservations are required. For more information or to sign up, contact april & george at 828-9082.
