Here's what The Indy was writing about the week of March 26:
5 years ago: Barry Yeoman told the story of Ann Farmer, an outspoken critic of Wake County's sex education curriculum, which stresses abstinence before marriage and does not seriously address birth control, disease prevention, or sexual orientation.
10 years ago: John Roemer examined the surge of violence in anti-abortion activism, including the murder of Dr. David Gunn, a physician who performed abortions in Florida.
15 years ago (our 5th anniversary): Dee Reid reported on the growing affluence of the Triangle, owing to an infusion of jobs and newcomers, and the widening gap between the prosperous and the impoverished that comes with growth.

Being the community
In Raleigh's Moore Square and around Main Street in Durham, we ignore people who we assume don't have housing. Rocky and those like him go to Love Wins or the Maurin House to find eye contact, to hear a "good morning," to be a part of their cities.
