The actual oldest dog in the world died in Japan last year. He was 26. But we don't know if that will play a role in this tale of a young man returning to his childhood home to discover he's under a curse by the monster from under his bed. He goes on a quest with Sasquatch, imaginary superheroes and his dead dog to get everything straight. One must applaud Cary playwright Jesse A. Lowe, the writer-director of this show—he went for it with this concept. Discover the strangeness for yourself in this production by Owl Tree Theater for the People. —Zack Smith
