It's always fun when people in bands get married; the reception is bound to rock. In the case of Jac and Lutie Cain, they've decided to keep the annual party going four years after their nuptials. In addition to playing bass in various bands over the years, Jac is widely recognized as the best (and most opinionated) soundman in the area. If you've ever been to the Pour House (and before that, the Brewery), you've seen him run onstage in the middle of some band's set to adjust a microphone or swap a cable. His wife, Lutie, is also a bass player, and she'll be onstage during the Cain Party with The T's, the most straight-ahead, no-frills rock 'n' roll band in the Triangle. Local heavy rockers Leadfoot are newly reinvigorated, with original guitarist Graham Frye back in the band; they headline. The Bad Checks, who have been playing trashy graveyard gutter rock for nearly 30 years, and hell-bent country punks Hank Sinatra are also part of the conviviality. Another toast to Jac and Lutie: Their marital bliss means an ongoing rock 'n' roll honeymoon for the rest of us. —Karen A. Mann
