MEYMANDI CONCERT HALL—For a good number of folks, the list of best pure-country male vocalists begins and ends with George Jones. The years have robbed Jones' voice of some of its heft, with a natural uptick in the poignancy carried by that still-brilliant instrument marking the other end of the trade-off. Check out his take on "She's All I Got," a hit for Johnny Paycheck and Freddie North among others, from the Paycheck tribute disc from 2004 for a taste of that finely aged sour mash. The show starts at 7:30, with tickets still available for $47 or $57, depending on just how close you want to be to the heartache. —Rick Cornell
