RBC CENTER—As gimmicks go, it's hard to beat. Theatrical in the extreme and covered in blue paint, what started as three friends busking by doing street theater in New York has become nothing short of a phenomenon that bridges music, dance and theater in a more inventive way than, say, Showboat. While mute, the blue performers (who Homer Simpson called "a rip-off of the Smurfs") manage to critique modern culture and technology while offering a kinetic visual experience. Musically, their dynamic rhythmic pulse and found object pounding pales next to Test Dept., but—given the rest of the show—that's OK. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets range from $49.50-$85. —Chris Parker

CAROLINA THEATRE—The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle will perform today at 3 p.m. in Fletcher Hall. The ensemble, led by Artistic Director Lorenzo Muti, will perform Handel's First Suite from Water Music and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3 "Scottish." Tickets are $20. For more info, call 942-3179 or visit —Iesha Brown
