THE FULL MONTY
RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE—What could be funnier than seeing a play centered around six out-of-work guys? Well, a few things, perhaps—such as seeing how their quest for money leads to a career as striptease dancers. These broke men have nothing to lose, not even their pride. The Full Monty, a musical remake of the smash movie, runs through June 24 at the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre and embraces laughter and music on all levels. And this Sunday only, tickets are just $10. THE CANCER CHRONICLES
DEEP DISH THEATER—National Cancer Survivor's Day started 20 years ago. Now, it bills itself as "the world's largest and fastest-growing annual cancer survivor event." Every year, Deep Dish Theater joins forces with Cornucopia House Cancer Support Center to celebrate this day of strength. In The Cancer Chronicles, professional actors of the Triangle present dramatic readings of stories, memoirs, poems and other forms of literature for anyone dealing with cancer, including several pieces written by local authors. The event begins at 3 p.m. and a reservation is required. For more info, visit www.deepdishtheater.org or call 968-1515. —Megan Stein
