The Everybodyfields
  • The Everybodyfields

Raleigh
the everybodyfields
The Pour House—Sam Quinn's reedy twang complements Jill Andrews' raw wanton alto, harmonizing over roots pop with an Americana bent. Dobro player David Richey's departure pushes the combo in new directions on their latest Nothing is Okay, as they add pedal steel, electric guitar and keys sampling homey warmth reminiscent of The Band. With Ian Thomas at 8 p.m. for $8. —Chris Parker

Chapel Hill
Suspension/Belief
UNC Campus—Cameron Ayres and Annissa Clarke mount a new multimedia installation piece, which, we're told, will examine "shifting notions of identity, faith, love and hope, [and] these multimedia, interactive installations ask spectators to literally and metaphorically suspend their beliefs and explore new relationships with the work and with each other." Don't worry, we're not sure what it's about either, but because it's the work of the ever-inventive grad students at UNC's Department of Communications Studies, we're checking it out. It's free (donations accepted) and open Friday and Saturday from 6-9 pm and today from 2-5 p.m. at Swain Hall's Studio 6. For more info, visit comm.unc.edu/newevents/Performances or call 932-5829. —Megan Stein
