The Bluerunners
The Berkeley Cafe—It's tempting to describe the work of Lafayette, La.'s longstanding Bluerunners as Cajun music played with punk energy, but that implies the more traditional wallop of washboard and accordion is somehow lethargic itself. Let's just say that the Bluerunners make music that waltzes like Canray Fontenot and wails like Joe Strummer, and vice versa. The Acadian anarchy starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10. —Rick Cornell
