Easy Star All-Stars

Cat's Cradle—The crossover conceit of New York's Easy Star is that reggae's universality trumps all. That belief gripped tightly, they've applied the music's cadence and spirit—admittedly very elastic compared to other genres—to Pink Floyd on Dub Side of the Moon, to Radiohead on, you guessed it, Radiodread, and, on its latest, The Beatles on Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band. By default, the band draws from both reggae and rock fans. And because its highly accessible roots reggae has long pulled from pop music (and vice versa), it's proven to be fertile ground. Trumystic and DJ Ras J open at 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $14 in advance, $16 day of. —Chris Toenes
