During its three-year run on Durham's Main Street, which ends next week with the start of the New Year, Casbah never valued consistency. The schedule hopscotched from alt-country to heavy metal, from arm-wrestling competitions to top-heavy hip-hop showcases. It's that aspect that will be missed most when the venue turns into a bar in 2014, but that inclusiveness gets one final coronation with tonight's bill. Proto-rock band Phatlynx splits the door with The Straight 8s, a rockabilly trio whose riffs are sharp and whose lyrics twitch between sweet and sassy. Naturally, this show precedes a jazz band farewell on Tuesday.
