If one has ever seen a film or TV show shot and/ or set in North Carolina, one might notice that almost all the characters tend to speak with Southern accents as thick as Foghorn Leghorn, and possibly wear suits so white that Tom Wolfe would go, "Damn!"
Perhaps this was the impetus for Theatre in the Park's production of Maria Jones' Stones in His Pockets, the tale of a film crew that descends upon a small Irish town and tries to make things ... well, more "Irish." The production runs Fridays–Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through March 18, with an additional 7:30 p.m. show Thursday, March 8. Tickets are $22 for adults and $16 for seniors, students and active military. —Zack Smith
