This local quartet (A.C. Bushnell, Mark Weems, Alan Julich, Bobb Head—busy musicians all) would like you to know a couple things: First, Stillhouse Bottom is an honest-to-goodness geographic entity with a history involving bootleggers. Second, the band's origins predate O Brother, Where Art Thou?; thus its name is not a nod to the Soggy Bottom Boys. And while the group's music beats with the same rural heart as the work of Dr. Stanley, Mr. Tyminski and the like, the Stillhouse Bottom Band isn't afraid to mix it up a bit when the song asks for it.
