Steph Stewart & the Boyfriends

When: Sat., May 28, 5-8 p.m. 2011
Price: Free

"Even though I am still green, Tim and Don are both very established musicians, and I think their experience and professionalism have been inspiring and given me a bit of a head start," says Steph Stewart. Don't let her modesty fool you: Stewart and her Boyfriends—musicians Don Raleigh and Tim Stambaugh—have spent the past several months bouncing between recording sessions, backyard jams and bars with their folk-country gems. This appearance at the Saxapahaw Farmers' Market & Music Series "is the biggest show yet that we've played together," she says, excitedly adding, "I've hoped to play this series for quite some time." The farmers market starts at 5 p.m., and music follows at 6 p.m. Admission is free. —Ashley Melzer
