Kate Greenstreet's poetry is that of the artist who wanders with all senses wide open. In this first So & So Series reading of the calendar year, she offers glimpses and meditations, flashes of insight and sighs of time passing by. The Ireland resident's third book, Young Tambling, is due soon from Ahsahta Press. Scott Wilkerson, who's also on this night's bill, says of her work: "For her fine, home-made metaphysics, smartly deadpan cosmology, and redemptive, lyrical humanity, Greenstreet is strictly essential reading." Wilkerson teaches at Columbus State University in Georgia and studies at Queens University of Charlotte. His two books of taut, precise poems are Threading Stone and the forthcoming Ars Minotaurica (both on New Plains Press). Massachusetts poet Rodney Wittwer completes the program; his first book, Gone & Gone (Red Hen Press), combines frankness and sincerity into potent verse. Note the one-time-only change of venue for this free, 8 p.m. reading: the Kindred Boutique is at 131 S. Wilmington St. —Chris Vitiello
