An Emerson College poetry cabal takes over the last episode of this prolific reading series organized by Chris Tonelli. After finishing grad school at Emerson College, Abigail Beckel and Kathleen Rooney founded Rose Metal Press in 2006, culling the best of flash fiction, prose poetry and novels-in-verse from the American Midwest. Beckel, who has a publishing resume as long as your arm, now lives and writes in Washington, D.C. Following her 2009 memoir Live Nude Girl: My Life as an Object, Rooney's first poetry book Oneiromance (an epithalamion) was issued by Chicago feminist publisher Switchback Books. Also an Emerson grad, CarynLazzuri works on programs and exhibits at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington and has published in magazines such as Lumina, 13th Moon and Rattle. Another Emersonian, Kate Covintree, is a poet and librarian at the Wheeler School in Providence, R.I., and has published critical essays on both classic and contemporary young adult literature.
