If your child is whiny and acts like a brat, avoid the Mike Myers film of The Cat in the Hat. And though its DVD might entertain in a pinch, avoid the trauma of Jim Carrey as The Grinch. Horton Hears a Who? Well, it might do. But if you want some Dr. Seuss that is true ... well, there's a musical in town that is new. OK, let's kill the bad rhyming and say that Barriskill Dance Theatre is producing the Dr. Seuss-themed musical Seussical with local kids and teens. By the way, did you know the correct pronunciation of Seuss'is actually "soyce?" That's just weird. —Zack Smith
