Senses Fail, Ghost Inside, Man Overboard, Transit

When: Tue., April 5, 7 p.m. 2011
Price: $14

With their generic, angst-laden love songs and high school-grade poetry, increasingly banal breakdowns, tired screamo moves and "rebellious" use of profanity, Senses Fail are Training Wheels Rock. It's fine for teens with sensibilities shaped by third-wave emo-core wannabes. At least they're not as lame as Victory's latest batch of acts, or as tuneless as bands like A Static Lullaby and Escape the Fate—but that's praise faint enough to be translucent. There are some hooks and undeniably hefty guitars, if your standards are low. With The Ghost Inside, Man Overboard and Transit. —Chris Parker
