Selena and Bryson

I was an evil ninja, he was the assistant director. I became an extra in the movie his filmmaking friends were making because I worked on a humor magazine with the director and a bunch of the actors. We spent a lot of gorgeous fall nights staging absurd fight scenes on the quad at UNC. We finally connected at a friend’s 21st birthday party, and our first real date was watching Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in the student union, playing from a DVD propped up in the middle of the audience. I introduced him to Harry Potter and he introduced me to Doctor Who. It is marvelous geeky love. — Selena Beckman-Harned and Bryson Kopf, Carrboro
