Good Night, and Good Luck

N.C. Museum of Art-- Not a weekend too soon, the outdoor movie season at the N.C. Museum of Art begins with Good Night, and Good Luck at 9 p.m. Tickets are $3. --David Fellerath

Durham

Choreo Collective

Common Ground Theatre-- They veered between memorable and chaotic, Choreo Collective's yearly invitationals that crosswired regional dance, film, music and visual art groups in a series of midnight concerts at Chapel Hill's Carolina Theatre. The Carolina is no more, but the series continues. This year's installation includes critically acclaimed both hands theater company and Raleigh dance group Immediate Theatre. The 7:10 and 9:40 p.m. shows run $5. --Byron Woods

X-Gen

Duke University-- Durham crew Sea Shanty Films presents the premiere of X-Gen, a dark comedy about the destruction of Generation X. See it at 5 p.m at Griffith Theater for $3. --David Fellerath

Carrboro

Nudity, Strange

The Reservoir--An Olympia, Wash., supergroup culled from bands like Tight Bros. from Way Back When and Dub Narcotic Sound System, Nudity trips hard, loud and lean, extending the ethereal with serial guitars a la Lou Reed and controlled-substance reveries a la Brian Jonestown Massacre. Unlike BJM, though, Nudity writes great songs, distends it all and--for the most part--stays sane enough to play it. Strange headlines; leave donations. --Grayson Currin
