I've been to the last 2 NC ComiCons in Durham. It's a great event, but the panels are kind of a weak spot for me. I would have considered checking out NC ComiCon Oak City but it's the same weekend as the Anime Magic film festival at the Carolina Theater in Durham. Maybe next year.
Thanks, Mr. Muhammad. It shouldn't take disruptive protests to get the city to take police brutality seriously. But if that's what Councilmember Davis wants, maybe we should shut down the freeway one more time.
I'm so happy to see this collaboration, and this affordable way to attend both!
So glad to see the Council taking a look at this. Schewel is exactly right. Young white people smoke marijuana frequently without risking their futures. There's no reason people of color (or anyone) should be arrested for possessing or using small amounts of a drug which is less dangerous than alcohol.
Someone please copyedit this article.
This is such a non-issue! We elected Jillian because of her leadership on social justice issues like this. Now she is doing the job we elected her to do. Let's not continue this BS "controversy."
Correction to my correction: Monmouth is in Old NORTH Durham. No more commenting before coffee.
