Richard Bacchus & the Luckiest Girls, Dash Rip Rock, Terry Anderson & the Olympic Ass Kickin' Team

When: Sun., Feb. 26, 8 p.m. 2012
Price: $10

If you hosted a raging backyard party, you couldn't do much better than this bill. D Generation guitarist Richard Bacchus cranks out anthemic garage rock with a keen mix of grit and hook-lined glory. Terry Anderson's even sharper with a catchy melody; his bar-band rock blends Rockpile's infectious verve with the twangy imprimatur of '70s Stones. Dash Rip Rock turned the '50s ditty "At the Hop" into "(Let's Go) Smoke Some Pot," codifying their lyrical irreverence. The Big Easy fixtures emerged in the '80s with cowpunk, though they're closer to garage-abilly these days. —Chris Parker
