Porch Quote

"Henry Marrow thought he was buying a Pepsi-Cola."
--Tim Tyson, author of Blood Done Sign My Name, quoted in the N&O about a complaint from Larry Teel that he didn't know Tyson's interview with him 22 years ago would appear in a book. Teel was found not guilty in the 1970 murder of Marrow, who was killed after he said something to a white woman on the way to the store. Marrow was black, and the killing set off race riots in Oxford, N.C., that are the subject of the book.
