--David hoke, at a state bar disciplinary hearing on whether he withheld evidence and lied to the judge in the case of alan gell, who was freed this year after evidence showed he was wrongly convicted of murder in 1998. At the same hearing, hoke acknowledged that he and fellow prosecutor Debra graves intentionally withheld the transcript of a phone conversation in which one witness said she had to "make up a story" for police. Hoke and Graves received only written reprimands.
