--FCC Commissioner Michael Copps, after the Federal Communications Commission voted 3 (Republicans)-2 (Democrats) to loosen rules on media ownership, allowing conglomerates to control more of the market. Copps is a Democrat who opposed the changes, organizing public hearings around the country, including one at Duke Law School.
