The musicians of Pink Martini have two facial expressions: deep concentration and head-thrown-back laughter. They bring that accessible camaraderie to the NCMA's amphitheater for a concert fit for all ages. The oversize Portland, Ore., ensemble, masterminded by pianist Thomas Lauderdale, has taken its eclectic, internationalized brew of jazz, classical and pop all over the world, crossing genres like a bartender bent on concocting nirvana in a glass. This show features singer Storm Large fronting the group. Hopefully September will oblige with lovely picnic weather for the lawn-and-blanket set.
