See, good things do happen in the dog days of August. Four writers, including three from the neighborhood, share work in the cool basement of the Regulator. Tanya Olson's first book, Boyishly, is just out, chock full of narrative ruminations. Meaghan Mulholland, whose stories have been lauded nationwide, will read from a novel-in-progress set in Sicily and starring a family of puppeteers. As his first poetry manuscript simmers, Ross White also rocks the improv mic. And Justin Boening, the only non-local in the set, boasts a Poetry Society of America National Chapbook Fellowship for his Self-Portrait as Missing Person. That, ladies and gents, is what's called a lineup.
