Earth Fare Cafe
Brierdale Shopping Center, 10341 Moncreiffe Road, Raleigh 433-1390

Now open in Raleigh's Brierdale Shopping Center, this is the second Earth Fare to open in the Triangle, the first being in Chapel Hill in the old Southern Season location. The cafe in the store sells foods prepared using organic veggies and natural meats. The cafe has a salad bar, deli, sandwiches, sushiand hot bar with both meat and vegetarian options. Outdoor dining at the front of the store, and occasional live music.

This Week

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Il Palio's Jim Anile will host a cooking class at the Williams-Sonoma store at The Streets at Southpoint Mall. The class will focus on cooking with fall greens. The cost is $35 per person. For reservations, call 484-1706.

Nana's Chophouse in Raleigh has gone through a lot of changes since opening last year, but they are now pleased to announce their new head chef, Konrad Catolos. Catolos comes to the Triangle from Vail, Colo., where he was Chef de Cuisine at Sweet Basil. He has also worked under chefs Emeril Lagasse and Todd English.
