The Triangle welcomes another exotic dining option, Durbar 84 (2103 Allendown Drive, Durham, 405-2684). The Nepalese restaurant offers traditional fare that resonates tastes found in northern Indian cuisine.

Zely and Ritz tapas restaurant and wine bar (301 Glenwood Ave., Suite 100, Raleigh, 828-9918, www.zelyandritz.com) hosts a wine dinner Wednesday, April 11, at 7 p.m. featuring wines from the Piedmont region of Italy.

Acme Food & Beverage (110 E. Main St., Carrboro, 929-2263, www.acmecarrboro.com) and De Maison Selections are hosting a Spanish wine dinner Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. and it includes three of Spain's greatest winemakers: Gerardo Mendez of Do Ferreiro (Rias Baixas, Galicia), Jesus Sastre of Viña Sastre (Ribero del Duero) and Florentino Monje Amestoy of Luberri (Rioja). The trio is making a culinary tour of the United States with stops in three cities—Chicago, New York and Carrboro—culinary hot spots all. It will be a four-course meal featuring seven wines. Dinner will be preceded by casual, tapas-style appetizers on the patio, where they will also be slow-cooking the lamb and pork. $80 per person.

The Chapel Hill Wine Company (2809 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, 968-1884) is hosting a free cheese tasting featuring locally produced cheeses from the Chapel Hill Creamery, along with its regular wine tasting Saturday, April 14, from 1 to 5 p.m. The cheese tasting will feature samples of Carolina Moon (a ripe-aged Camembert-style cheese) and raw milk Thunder Mountain Swiss (a cheese made in the solid style Garer).

Il Palio (1505 E. Franklin St., Chapel Hill, 929-4000, www.sienahotel.com) will offer a gospel concert sung by Jennifer Evans during brunch on Sunday, April 15.

3Cups (431 W. Franklin St., #15, Chapel Hill, 968-8993, www.3CUPS.net) is hosting a wine class, "France's 2005 Harvest" Wednesday, April 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Ken Rosati, Duke grad and owner of Centerba Selections, a local wine distribution company specializing in estate wine from northern Europe, will host the class. He will talk about the significance of a wine's vintage and why wine is one of the only comestibles to include a vintage on the label. He'll also tell you where the big liquor companies and warehouse stores are going with wine. $20.

And just to clarify, the Moore Square Farmers' Market in Raleigh (10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays through October) does not sell crafts. Its 30 vendors sell beef, chicken, lamb, cheese, artisan breads, cut flowers, fruit, veggies, herbs, ice cream, eggs and baked goods—and is likely the only small market with wineries.
